- Wound Care & Ointments:Acts as an astringent and antiseptic for healing minor skin wounds, cuts, and eczema.
- Acne Treatment:Helps soothe inflammation and control excess oil production due to its astringent properties.

- Rubber Industry:Over 50% of ZnO is used here as a vulcanization activator to improve the elasticity, durability, and thermal conductivity of tires, shoe soles, and tubes.
- Paints and Coatings:Acts as a pigment (“zinc white”) and a corrosion inhibitor in anti-corrosive paints, offering fungicide and bactericide properties.
- Ceramics and Glass:Used as a flux to improve the brilliance, gloss, and thermal resistance of ceramic glazes and glass.
- Plastics Stabilizer:Added to plastics to prevent UV degradation and improve heat stability

- Dental Cement:Combined with eugenol (zinc oxide-eugenol) for temporary fillings and dental liners.
